I love dark skinned Black people. I love light skinned Black people. I love brown skinned Black people (raises brown skinned fist; we get no love). I love natural haired Black people. I love Black people with blond weaves. I love Black people who dye their hair purple. I love Black people with dark brown eyes. I love Black people with hazel eyes. I love Black people who still wear blue contacts.

I love Black teenagers too self absorbed to recognize how much the world fears them. I love Black teenagers too self absorbed to care.

I love Black women. I love Black men. I love Black transgendered men and women. I love gay Black people. I love straight black people. I love Black people who haven’t figured it out yet. I love Black people who don’t think there’s anything to figure out.

I love Black people who’ve had abortions. I love Black people who would never consider having an abortion. I love Black conservatives. I love Black liberals. I love Black people who don’t give two shits. I love Black people who don’t love Black people. I love Black people who don’t know they’re Black. I love Black people who don’t date Black people. I love Black love.
